Security @ Home Launch
Why are you getting this email?
Hi - we need to be upfront with you. You're receiving this because you have done (or are doing) business with us, and we added you to our new "Security @ Home" newsletter without asking first. We know. We hate unsolicited email too. We're apologizing upfront. (it's important, we promise!):
But here's the thing: there's a massive malware outbreak happening right now called Kimwolf that's infecting devices in home networks worldwide - including home networks right here in our community. It's spreading fast. It's spreading through everyday devices like streaming boxes and digital picture frames, (and many others) and we couldn't in good conscience sit on this information while we built a "proper" newsletter signup process.
So, we fast-tracked this. Everyone got added. We're sorry for the surprise, but we're not sorry for trying to get the word out. We hope you'll stick around, because we have a lot of information to share on this ongoing threat. If you truly don't want these updates, there's a link at the bottom to be removed - no hard feelings. But we strongly encourage you to stay subscribed, at least through this current threat. The information we're sharing could save you from some serious headaches.
We STRONGLY recommend all current subscribers continue to follow as there will be information which may directly impact you.
What this newsletter IS: Practical security information to help you stay safe online. No fluff.
What this newsletter ISN'T: Sales pitches, marketing promotions, or other junk. Once this outbreak is over, we will only send security related tips and tricks, suggestions, and ways to keep you safe online with messages coming at a slow, reasonable pace.
